It was revealed that Silva's drug test from his UFC 125 win over Brandon Vera was still being scrutinized by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. A possible failed test could have been the impetus for the UFC to approach Rashad Evans as a potential replacement for Silva in the May bout.
But Silva says he's clean and isn't worried about the delay in his results at the moment.
"Looks like they did two tests, one was positive and the other negative," Silva said to Tatame. "My blood is clean, I'm calm, took nothing."
It is possible for the lab to receive a false positive on one test, and that's why they test two samples from fighters. So, if that's the case here, Silva will remain on the card for UFC 130 in May.
